God Chose Us | A Sojourner’s Guide

Have you ever travelled to a foreign country? While it often can be an exciting experience, what makes dealing with all the nuances of a different culture bearable is the knowledge that we’ll soon be going home. In other words, we’re just sojourners. Such is true in the spiritual life as well. I’m genuinely excited to unpack this truth with you today as we kick off our new series in 1 Peter, “A Sojourner’s Guide.”
The Woman at The Well | Conversations With Jesus
The Paralytic Man | Conversations With Jesus

It seems as if every decade has a hit song in it about friendship (“You’ve Got a Friend”, “That’s What Friends Are For”, “You’ve Got a Friend in Me”, etc.). I think most people understand the significance and special nature of true friendship. So does the Bible. Today I get the privilege of showing you my favorite story on friendship in the entire New Testament (well, after Jesus that is). It’s a great story of faith, determination and love. I hope you’ll be inspired by it as I’ve been.
Socialism | Hot Summer Topics 2019

Back in my college days, I was an Economics major, and I still enjoy the field of study. So maybe it’s just me, but it sure does seem like socialism is a hotly trending topic in our culture today. What is it, and what does the Bible say about it?
Immigration | Hot Summer Topics 2019

Well, in the realm of “hot topics” in our culture these days, you’d be hard-pressed to find one hotter than that of immigration. It seems to be in the news every day, and it pretty much has been since the 2016 election cycle. So, what does God’s Word have to say about it?
Discrimination | Hot Summer Topics 2019

If you use social media at all, you’re probably familiar with the phrase “what’s trending.” It refers to the topics in our day that are being hotly discussed or debated. This month we will be launching a new series in which I will endeavor to speak truth into what’s trending. God’s Word does indeed have a good word for us about each of the current social issues we’re facing today.
Fruitful And Fulfilling | Benediction

Do you remember that feeling of having the right equipment for the job – that perfect tool, instrument or device that makes your task so much more fruitful and fulfilling? Our passage this week teaches us that God “equips us in every good thing to do His will.” He delights in enabling us to do our tasks – His tasks – so that our lives can be more fruitful and fulfilled.
Blessed To Be A Blessing | Benediction

Back in 1979, an archaeologist named Dr. Gabriel Barkay was doing a dig just outside of Jerusalem when he discovered two silver strips (called amulets) which were rolled up like scrolls. It turns out that those amulets now contain the oldest surviving biblically-related inscription ever discovered (to date). So, maybe this particular text has long been supremely treasured by God’s people.
Tabernacles | Feast on This

There’s something special about the number 7. God rested on the 7th day of creation; there will be 7 years of tribulation; there are 7 colors in the light spectrum (remember ROY G BIV?); and there are even 7 games in a playoff series! Today we will look together at the 7th and final feast: the Feast of Tabernacles. Its prophetic element will blow your mind.
Atonement | Feast on This

Have you seen Avengers: Endgame? Lots and lots of people have. Ticket sales have surpassed $2 billion worldwide. It’s obviously a compelling and epic tale of collaborative heroism. But I think I’ve got a better one to tell today. Join us as we dig into the history and prophecy regarding the Day of Atonement.
