Struggle Well | The Kingdom of Heaven is Like…

A few years ago, a friend of mine got me into cycling. What started as a 10-12 mile ride turned into 25 miles, 30 miles, and before you know it I was encouraged to do a 60-mile race. I remember wanting to give up several times on that route. At about mile 45, my friend could see my dilemma and encouraged me to keep going. He even had me talk about other things to get my mind off the struggle. Before I knew it, I was coasting (and running on fumes) at the 60-mile marker and finish line to cheers of encouragers. I felt like I won the Tour de France.
Jesus is aware of the struggle of His companions on this ministry trek. On their part, there is a failure to see ‘what is about to come.’ Jesus uses a seed of grain to cast a big picture of hope and sets their gaze ahead, not behind.

What’s Missing?

Have you ever wanted to be a part of something big? Have you asked the question ‘what is my role’? We all have at some point. What if God purposely set aside something big for us to do, now? He has! May you come ready to receive the word with a readied heart, in order to be on mission.

Understanding Your Identity | His Word, My Story 2020

Have you ever wrestled with understanding your identity? Your purpose in life? Your mission? I have too. I believe every Jesus follower at some point has to come to the realization of who Jesus really is and what He has truly done for them. We wrestle with so many voices, influences, and standards, that we truly miss the gospel truth. The joy of sanctification is that the Holy Spirit is always shaping us to be more like Christ each and every surrendered day. What truth today would you like to tell your former self? I have a list for me.

Trumpets | Feast on This

There are those that go insane waiting on things and there are those who stay busy while they wait. Our position on waiting might be influenced based on the ‘what’ we are waiting for at the end. What if Jesus already gave us an assignment while we wait on His return? He did. As we prepare to study the next Feast in our series, the Feasts of Trumpets, let us learn what busy-waiting looks like for the Kingdom.
