Vision Sunday 2022
What is TBC planning for the future?
Depression | Hot Summer Topics 2022
Have you ever battled depression? I have. And, according to numerous studies, I’m not alone. In 2022, nearly half of Americans have reported symptoms of depression or anxiety. So, whether it’s your personal battle or a loved one’s, join me as we confront this hot issue in our culture that truly has reached epic proportions. Healing and hope are waiting.
Politics | Hot Summer Topics 2022
When I was young, I was taught to avoid two particular topics at social gatherings: politics and religion. Well, sorry mom, but we’re shattering that old saying. Truthfully, we will be going back to the basics of the Bible and discussing our roles and responsibilities as Christian citizens. God actually has quite a bit to say on the matter, so I look forward to unpacking lots of verses with you.
We All Work For God | Workship
Have you ever hired a construction crew to do some work for you? I imagine most homeowners have – especially ones like me with a low skillset. How awesome would it be to have a crew to whom you could say, “You don’t need to send me a detailed bill; just tell me how much it costs and I’ll pay it.” That’s trust. And trust is built upon a foundation of integrity. In the Book of 2 Kings, we’ll see such an account. It’s inspiring. And it’s a great example of the work ethic we’ll find in Ephesians 6:5-8.
Zephaniah | Major on the Minors
How were you disciplined as a child when you misbehaved? Different parents and different generations take alternative approaches to discipline. In my era, one of the worst things a kid could hear was, “Just wait ‘til your father gets home.” Well, the Book of Zephaniah is the ultimate “just wait ‘til your father gets home” book. God’s punishment is coming. But… in the end times, there will be a remnant of believers. And that is both our challenge and our charge – to be a part of the remnant. I look forward to sharing this challenge and charge with you.
Micah | Major on the Minors
Normally it’s not wise to major on the minors – in life, relationships, government, business, etc. But that’s what our church family will be doing over the next several weeks – as these “minor” prophets are really not minor in any way other than sheer volume. Maybe you’re familiar with Isaiah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel and Daniel. But are you as familiar with Micah, Nahum, Zephaniah and Malachi? That’s where we will be heading, and I look forward to enjoying the journey with you.
Responding to Hurt | RADICAL

Chuck Swindoll famously said, “Life is 10% what happens to you and 90% how you react to it.” I don’t know about you, but when people are nice to me, it’s pretty easy to respond in kind. But when people are unkind towards me… well, that’s a different story. Still, how we respond to those who hurt us is our high and holy calling from God’s Word. That’s what we get to discuss together as we continue our march through Romans 12.
Living a Devoted Life | RADICAL

One of the best books I’ve read in years is Laura Hillenbrand’s Unbroken – the biographical account of Louis Zamperini. It was made into a movie, and the image that I’ll keep with me for the rest of my life is when he holds a plank above his head for a miraculously long time. That, beloved, is “persevering in tribulation”, and that’s what we get to discuss in our new series, RADICAL. Check out Romans 12:11-12 and see if you can commit it to memory.
What Difference Does It Make That Jesus Rose From The Dead? | Easter 2022

If what Americans watch on TV is any indication of our collective interests, then it stands to reason that we are interested in criminal investigation. NCIS, Law and Order: SVU, Criminal Minds, etc. are some of the most popular drama series of our time. What all of those shows have in common is the pursuit of facts – verifiable truth that can help them close the case. We get to look at a fact that turned the world upside down and “closed the case” on life after death.
God of the Nations | Hymns of Heaven

If you were able to choose your ideal surroundings, where would you go? The mountains, the lake, the beach? Who would you be with? Family, loved ones, friends? Well, God being God, He gets to do just that – for all eternity. And His surroundings teach us a few things about the fullness of His character and the fulfillment of His plan.
