Called to Unity | Purpose
The Book of Ephesians is like a one-two punch. It’s a combination of teaching on who we are as Christians and application on what we do as Christians. As we return to our study of Ephesians, we discover in chapter 4 how to keep the unity God has created among us.
Missions Sunday 2024
The fulfillment of Jesus’ commission to the Church, to make disciples of all the nations, is shown in Revelation 5 and 7. The scene is the glorious throne room in heaven, the elders and angels sing praises to the Lamb who is worthy because, “you were slain, and by your blood you ransomed people for God from every tribe and language and people and nation…” God’s heart has always been to bring His salvation to the ends of the earth, and He has communicated His purpose from Genesis to Revelation. The End Game was never in question – His purpose to redeem some from all nations will be fulfilled. The only question is, will we heed our calling to join Him?
