Celebrating the Class of 2024!
Easter reminds us there is another king, Jesus! To live like He is king leads to transformation in our lives and in our community.
So many aspects of the Palm Sunday narrative are well-known, yet it also has some elements are not so familiar – like a remark made by a group of frustrated religious leaders (John 12:19). This overlooked detail of Palm Sunday encourages us to take a moment for reflection and motivates us towards action.
The fulfillment of Jesus’ commission to the Church, to make disciples of all the nations, is shown in Revelation 5 and 7. The scene is the glorious throne room in heaven, the elders and angels sing praises to the Lamb who is worthy because, “you were slain, and by your blood you ransomed people for God from every tribe and language and people and nation…” God’s heart has always been to bring His salvation to the ends of the earth, and He has communicated His purpose from Genesis to Revelation. The End Game was never in question – His purpose to redeem some from all nations will be fulfilled. The only question is, will we heed our calling to join Him?
Christ made it clear in His great sermon that He didn’t come to “re-write” the Law, but to “re-right” our understanding of it, and thus our obedience to it.
Are your thoughts of God too small? J.I. Packer believed, “Our thoughts of God are not great enough.” On Celebration Sunday, we’ll learn from David how knowledge of the greatness of God can lead to greater faith and worship.
As you enter 2024, an overlooked lesson is found in one of the unsung heroes of the Old Testament. That lesson – If the Lord has let you live, He has a plan – is found in the life of Caleb, and it can bring comfort and encouragement as you begin the new year.
We’ll explore the relationship between grace and truth in our lives and discover how these principles impact personal growth and our collective journey as believers, shaping our reflection of Christ’s character.
Discover how our welcome mirrors the glory of God, from our church gatherings to our everyday interactions.
We often talk about two kinds of people, like early birds versus night owls or cat lovers versus dog enthusiasts. But there’s truly only two types of people in the world: those who are ‘in Christ’ and those who aren’t. However, being ‘in Christ’ isn’t just a phrase; it’s seeing the world, ourselves, and others in a whole new light.
