About Rachel Chapman

Rachel grew up seeing God working through cross-cultural missions firsthand, but it wasn’t until fifth grade that she understood that there were people all around the world who did not have access to the Gospel because of language and cultural barriers. It was then that she realized that God wanted her to be a part of taking his message to people who had never heard it.

After Bible, linguistics, and cross-cultural missions training, God led her to Mexico and eventually to join the beginning church-planting work among one of the many dialects of Nahuatl in that country. Together with her team, she learned the language and culture and worked to build relationships with the people. After Rachel could communicate clearly, she started to translate portions of the Bible into Nahuatl so the people could understand the Scriptures in their language. Soon after, the team began to teach God’s story, starting with Creation and soon a church was born!

Rachel continues to translate God’s Word with a Nahuatl translation team. The missionary team continues to study God’s Word with the believers, disciple the youth, and share God’s Message with others in the community.
