Final Episode: The Last Big Piece

Final Episode: The Last Big Piece

Tuesday, September 22

Well, well, well.

What do we have here? 👀

Could this possibly be the beginning of that BIG sign we’ve been waiting on for months??

Why yes. Yes, it could.

The building permits are IN.

And in case you didn’t know, building permits can take quite a while to process.

Now we all know.

Thursday, September 24

Two days later…

The mystery white panels were multiplying.

I still have no idea how signs work, but this feels promising.

Okay. THAT is a very large sign.

AND WE HAVE A LOGO.

Well, sort of.

Part of a logo.

Right now it looks a little like a telephone pole. Maybe we’re selling out to AT&T?

Give it time. 😂

We have watched a lot of random things get attached to this building over the last two years.

I actually know what this one is. 😂

LOOK AT THE SIZE OF THAT THING!!

Seriously. How far down I-20 do we think you’ll be able to see this??

Just in case you needed some scale, that little red basket has TWO GROWN MEN in it.

Granted, they’re both crouching down like they’re hiding from the paparazzi.

And by “paparazzi,” I mean Trinity staff members who are WAY too excited about this sign and may or may not be making the sign guys a little nervous. 😂

Friday, September 25

TRINITY!

Which narrows it down to approximately 4,000 organizations in North Texas. 😂

We’re gonna need the rest of the name, guys.

Ohhhhh, there it is.

BIBLE…

Keep going.

TRINITY BIBLE CHURCH.

There it is. 🥹

The last BIG piece of the Worship Center is officially in place.

The only thing left is the backlighting, which will take a few more weeks. So keep an eye on this thing when you’re driving down I-20 at night.

And if you see it lit up before I do, EMAIL ME IMMEDIATELY.

After two years of construction photos, I refuse to be the last person to know. 😂

And I think that’s it, construction friends.

The building is finished.
The loan balance is $0.
The giant sign is up.

After all the dirt, steel, rain, mystery pipes, Zap Zones, questionable electrical closets, and my many uninvited visits to the construction site… we made it.

More importantly, God has been faithful through every bit of it.

Thanks for coming along with for the ride. It’s been fun. ❤️
