GLASS!!! We have GLASS!!
The lobby finally looks like a real building and not a giant rectangle of “future plans.”
No, I did not fog it up and draw a smiley face.
I thought about it.
Hard.

You think that tiny cutout is for gutters?

And what are all these little wires??
I have marked them with arrows so you will know I am taking this job very seriously.

Orrrr… maybe I can just zoom in with better lighting.
Turns out that also works.
P.S. I later learned what those wires actually do, and it blew my tiny construction brain. The YouTube video tour below has the full story!

Water fountain area (I think) with tile going up in the back!

And for the visual learners:
Here’s my extremely scientific diagram. Badly drawn. But helpful.

Family bathroom — tile it UP!!
It’s starting to look like an actual room and not a secret cave.

Oooooh! Some color in the women’s bathroom!!
Things are getting fancy around here.
Today’s construction tour includes:
• accidental cameos ????♂️
• a bathroom plot twist
• basic vocabulary completely leaving my brain
• and me almost breaking into a dance ????????

I think these guys like puzzles, too!!
I watched them match stones like it was a giant outdoor jigsaw. Honestly… it looked kind of fun.

Inside scoop time:
These tiny flags all over the north parking lot? They’re not random. Each color marks a different sprinkler zone.
Congratulations — you are now part of a very small, very informed club.

Hmmm… what do you think they’re digging here?
I would tell you my theory, but history shows it would be wildly incorrect.
Thursday, December 4

A pop of color!!!
This is the women’s bathroom, and it is looking so good!!!!
Sorry, guys — we got so distracted by this tile that we never made it around to your bathroom.

And this is the wall behind the sinks.
I love it!!!
Sorry, guys… still in the women’s bathroom.

Another pop of color!
It’s so prettttty!!
Friday, December 5

All that progress in one day!!
Now it just needs grout.
Saturday, December 6

They’re putting glass in the worship center windows!!!!!
Honestly… I’m unreasonably excited to watch the late-to-church sprint happen right outside these windows. ????????
I know. My humor should probably be supervised.
(Especially because it will probably be me doing the sprinting!!)
About These Updates
This is a casual, behind-the-scenes look at the Worship Center construction at Trinity. I’m Krista Gordon, Communications Director, armed with a phone camera and curiosity, a pretty consistent track record of confusing water pipes with electrical things, and an AI buddy who helps turn my construction confusion into comedy.
I may not know much about construction, but here’s one thing I do know: as Pastor Eric often reminds us, “Unless the Lord builds the house, those who build it labor in vain.” (Psalm 127:1). Watching this Worship Center rise right outside our offices is a tangible reminder that our true foundation is built on Christ alone.
To Him be all the glory!
