Ceiling the deal.
Take a good look at the underside of this roof—it’s about to get covered up by a fancy schmancy ceiling!
(No chandeliers, but still very nice for an outdoor ceiling.)
Bonus points to anyone who can say “fancy schmancy ceiling” three times fast while on a scissor lift.

Bridging the gap.
Connecting an old building to a new one—one fresh slab at a time.

A sidewalk with ambition.
This sidewalk is really going somewhere… someday.

Wow, my photos really capture the truth of the situation:
This window is really dirty. ????
(Zoom in to see!)

Check it out!
They’re adding the ceiling!
The fancy schmancy one we mentioned earlier.

Ok, so maybe fancy schmancy isn’t the right word for this ceiling.
But how often do you get to type fancy schmancy?
Honestly, this was my first time ever. I wasn’t even sure how to spell it… ????
Smancy?
Smantzy??
Schmantzy???
It was hard. But somebody had to do it.
(Or nobody had to. But I couldn’t help myself.) ????

????Ok, so you know how there’s going to be a sidewalk all along this side of the building?
Riiiiight by those giant windows? ????
Well, for all you time optimists out there (like me)…
(A time optimist = someone who truly believes they can fit 8 tasks into a 15-minute window and still arrive looking calm and put-together. Spoiler: they cannot.)
We all know how Sunday mornings are going to look on this sidewalk ???????????????? …
???? ???? ????

And there they are — the stairs are almost finished!
No scary underbelly this time. ????
But watch that bottom step. It’ll getcha. ????

The stage is taking shape!
Jesus, may Your name always be honored in this space.
May Your Spirit soften hard hearts.
And may our Father draw people to You. Amen.

Just LOOK at all this covered outdoor space!!! ????

If you peer closely, you can see the wall at the back of the indoor lobby being…
drywalled?
sheetrocked?
Whatever it’s called, it’s happening! ????

???? Video tour!!!
So much has been happening!!!! Come take a walk with your ever-clueless construction guide ????
Forgive the funky video splicing — I tried to fast forward through the boring parts, but that made the sound all chipmunky. Then I muted the chipmunk… which somehow made it worse. ????
Anyway… all this to say, we’re hiring a Media Coordinator!
Aka: Someone who actually knows how to edit videos (and maybe prevent future chipmunk incidents).
If you know someone with video, photo, and social media skillz, send them my way!

About These Updates
This is a casual, behind-the-scenes look at the Worship Center construction at Trinity. I’m Krista Gordon, Communications Director, armed with a phone camera and curiosity, a pretty consistent track record of confusing water pipes with electrical things, and an AI buddy who helps turn my construction confusion into comedy.
I may not know much about construction, but here’s one thing I do know: as Pastor Eric often reminds us, “Unless the Lord builds the house, those who build it labor in vain.” (Psalm 127:1). Watching this Worship Center rise right outside our offices is a tangible reminder that our true foundation is built on Christ alone.
To Him be all the glory!
