Fair warning: this week’s episode is short because… so was the work week. Tuesday’s thunderstorm put most of the construction on hold, which meant fewer photos to share.
But I’ll be honest—I didn’t mind the break. I spent the rest of the week chaperoning two field trips, cheering at a 2nd grade field day, and making a last-minute dash for a middle school dance dress.
Oh—and I forgot it was Teacher Appreciation Week. So… there’s that. ????
But one of the great things about being a mom and working at TBC is that it’s genuinely family-friendly. There are quite a few moms on staff, and our pastors give us the kind of grace and flexibility that let us be good moms and good ministry leaders.
All that to say—it may have been a short week, but the storm gave us one very dramatic moment worth sharing…
Tuesday, May 6
LIVE FOOTAGE:
Rare sighting of the Loch Ness Monster in trench 3!
Or maybe just muddy pipes pretending to be something more exciting.
(Stick around—there’s thunder drama at the end.)
Friday, May 9

Tuesday: dramatic thunder and trench rivers.
Friday: one guy, one machine, and the comeback begins.
P.S.
Tune in next week, when hopefully the most exciting thing won’t be a circled excavator. ????
About These Updates
This is a casual, behind-the-scenes look at the Worship Center construction at Trinity. I’m Krista Gordon, Communications Director, armed with a phone camera and curiosity, a pretty consistent track record of confusing water pipes with electrical things, and an AI buddy who helps turn my construction confusion into comedy.
I may not know much about construction, but here’s one thing I do know: as Pastor Eric often reminds us, “Unless the Lord builds the house, those who build it labor in vain.” (Psalm 127:1). Watching this Worship Center rise right outside our offices is a tangible reminder that our true foundation is built on Christ alone.
To Him be all the glory!
