Nathan and Bethany have been married for seven years and on the field for five. They have three joyful young children: David, James, and Ruth. They are sent out from Avant Ministries as Church Planters in the Middle East. They were blessed to learn Arabic and serve alongside in learn from churches in a country that has established churches for over 3 years before moving on to their long-term plan of planting healthy churches in one of the least reached countries of the world. 

The current stage of their project requires them to primarily do the work of evangelists in this place. There are no known gatherings of national believers in this area and only a small number of believers, many of whom are completely isolated from other national believers because of the real threat of persecution. This is also a place hostile to their job as church planters so they are necessarily working to establish an acceptable business in this region. They labor ambitiously at this work to be well received by everyone but primarily obedient to the mission God entrusted to them. They hope to gather those whom wisdom would say to gather, disciple them in the word and help discern and build up those whom God is endowing to lead his church in this place. They consider themselves inadequate to accomplish this work on their own but trust God has faithfully gone before them in this work and they depend on Him and His provision.
