About David & Lena Chapman
Dave and Lena, both raised in North America with a strong faith, met in 1978 at the New Tribes Mission Training Center. They have been serving in Mexico since 2017, assisting church planters and Bible translators for indigenous communities. Their dedication expedites Scripture translations for the Guarijio, Tarahumara, Tepehuan, and Nahuatl peoples. They also contribute to transcultural missions training.

In Mexico, the Chapmans work in remote regions, focusing on language acquisition, Bible translation, and teaching indigenous communities the Word of God. They have provided vital support to Bible translators and church planters in the rugged mountains of the Nayarit area. Rachel, their daughter, serves as a Bible Scriptures translator among the Nahuatl peoples, while Elisabeth works as a horse veterinarian technician and Joshua is a medical doctor.
For over five decades, Dave and Lena Chapman have dedicated themselves to bringing the Scriptures to indigenous peoples and promoting literacy programs. Their unwavering commitment continues to support Bible translators, church planters, and literacy teachers in Mexico.
