Trinity Bible Church exists to develop fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ. In order to define "fully devoted follower of Jesus", we've identified three essential aspects of the Christian life: worship, connect, serve. These three aspects of life both compel and constrain all that we do.
We define worship as "living with an attitude of surrender to God". It's not just a Sunday morning experience, but it's learning to live each day as a "living sacrifice" (Rom. 12:1) unto God - growing in your love & trust of Him, so that you will live for Him more and more. Activities of worship for us include: Bible studies, prayer groups / meetings, special services, and obviously Sunday morning services as well.
At TBC, we define connect as "living in community with one another". We believe that we are hard-wired by God to live in community. After reading so many "each other" and "one another" commandments in the Bible, we simply concluded that it is impossible to be a fully devoted follower of Jesus and "go it alone". For us the primary means of living in community is through participation in one of our Community Groups.
And finally, we define serve as: "living out God's love to others". This passing on of God's love in tangible ways takes place both inside the church (that's "in-reach", or ministry) and outside the church (that's "outreach", or missions). We are committed to helping each person find his or her "niche" in ministry to the church; but we are just as committed to helping each person become an active partner in supporting God's work around the world.
As a church family, our mutual commitment is to reflect Christ as we worship - connect - serve and become who God wants us to be: fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ.
